This is one of the best games I have played in a while. I'm not just talking about flash games either. You made a game that is a grind without making it feel like a grind. Which a lot of devs now a days can't do. I could feel the amount of love put into this game and it made me smile. The easter eggs the references you have made to your old games all are things that enhance the experience further. I must say some of my favorite things about this game was A the combat and B the armor. The combat was a breath of fresh air that made me think about what abilities to use and when to use them. It felt way more involved removing the turn system. The armor I really liked because instead of just adding upgrades that only improved stats you made separate sets and towards the end they all looked really nice. I have loved watching you grow as a game developer and I'm really excited to see what else comes from you. Always keep improving and growing stronger. I need more games like this one to entertain me before the other big releases. (You helped keep me entertained in the days before fallout 4!)

SoulGame responds:

That's really awesome! I'm glad that you enjoyed all the little polishing work I added here and there. Thank you for your support!

Holy shit man, how high were you when you made this? I like what you've done with the landing after a jump and also how the walking works. It looks nice. The breathing is terrifying though. Also there seems to be some slight clipping in some areas but, honestly I appreciate what you've done. Did you do the background music with like bongos and your voice? It certainly sets the right tone for the game. If you fix the clipping and make sure that the player has more to go on other than "hey look around." I still like what you've done here overall so 3.5

terrytheplatypus responds:

The background music for the main portion of the game was my voice and slapping a bed, and a lot of delay on the bed sound with audacity. The music in the intro and the end was made with bosca ceoil, a free music program made by terry cavanagh, who made some cool games, with reverb added in audacity. glad you liked it.

Ok if this game was made just for the derps. I must say holy shit this is 10/10. On the other hand I think this game was made to be serious. So here's the problems. The mouse should center in the screen or you should be able to 360 rotate the camera without the mouse cursor leaving the screen. also fix the aimer. The bullets don't go towards the red dot. Also enemies don't hurt you if they push you all the time which doesn't make sense. The jump was cool and there should be a reload animation. Also you shouldn't have your character rotate like does you should instead make him move the camera by attaching the aimer to the mouse.

deinho responds:

Thanks man 'll analyze what you found and make improvements in these problems .

The first thing I noticed coming into this was the music. I really liked that it's got that of danger to it. First problem I noticed is that when I accidentally let a zombie past I could no longer board passengers. I feel that this is game breaking. I can still fight off zombies but, what's the point you know? Other wise the art is good and the characters while repetitive don't really seem to get too boring. Also the names seem a little bland. If you are going for an educational game that teaches typing vary the names a bit more, or add more names as the game goes along (if you haven't already.) Other than it being game breaking I like this. It's more entertaining than some typing games out there.

fieryben responds:

Thanks for your review! I have updated the code and I think I fixed that bug. Have fun!

P.S. Names do get longer as the game progresses :)

The game is playable so there is that. (+1 star) The controls feel nice are work well giving the game a good feel to it. (+1 star) The game provides a decent amount of challenge. (2+ stars) The AI moves in a strange way that reacts only to your movements EX. you move up so does your prey. (-.5 stars) The spawn time in the lizard level got to a point where it was too low to get me to my goal making the level impassable. (-1 star) Game gives the player the tools to succeed EX. fastest movement speed of characters on the screen. (+1 stars) Strange yet not unappealing graphics. (+.5 stars) total score 4/5

wholetonegames responds:

I really like your scoring process. :)

I changed the respawn times a bit. Let me know what you think.

Yes. I really like what you have done here. At first I was mad becuase I thought that the different models were moving at a faster pace by accident but, as I went along I realized you did that on purpose. I really like the puzzles and the character models are really cool. They look familar so I'm not sure whether or not to give you credit for that. Anyways I noticed only one glitch there was that level with the crossroad with a electric trap spinning in the center with the lowered floor in the center. One of the characters fell through the map and the game said he was still alive. Not sure what happened. Anyways I love this game. Sure to see it on the front page soon.

OmiyaGames responds:

Hey, Grphan. Yes, all the models were free on Unity Asset Store. I do give credit on the Credits sequence. Since this game was made for a Game Jam which didn't have much restrictions, I decided to use as much pre-made art assets as possible.

Thanks for letting me know about the bug.

One of the first things I noticed was that none of the colors sounded different. If you have ever played simon the big thing you will notice other than the colors and the pattern is that there is always a different sound associated with each color. I feel that this takes away from the game. Otherwise it's a pretty good clone. A little slow to boot ( Big pause in between winning and the new color.) Good sim.

JuninhoDrak responds:

I appreciate your feedback.

While the game a first looks cool it's actually a laggy glitchy mess. the hitboxes are messed up and the game itself needs a lot of work before you could even consider it playable. Go back and fix the hitboxes and make it a bit smoother. If you do this it will be a much better game.

AidenStudios responds:

I assure you that the game is well optimized. Try changing the video settings. I do not see why you should be getting lag unless you're playing on an ancient machine.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS GAME!!!! It started with just the "proving I'm evil part" which was funny. Then I started making serious choices and loved this game. So far I got like 5 endings and I'm not tired of how this game is. The animations may be small but, the story is just so great and in some ways original that it just makes me feel all warm and happy on the inside. I definitely want to see more of this. Keep on doing what you do!

GregLoire responds:

Thanks!

Nice game. It was really fun. Catchy music and a bit of challenge. I won with 488 seconds on my second try. I wish you would put the music on the audio portal though it's really good.

Zanzlanz responds:

Thank you very much Grphan!

Fineee, here ya go! :)

Hey I've been a part of Ng for a while. At least a few years now. I tend to look at the art and play games on NG and I have recently taken up digital art and plan to upload every once in a while.
